12 weeks of instructional ice hockey skills. Coach Brian will work on edgework, the basis of ice hockey, along with hockey drills and puck handling. All basics of hockey skating will be covered in this fun supportive program. You will need full hockey equipment, a mouth guard, and a large bottle of water! You will also need to be registered with USA Hockey to participate in this program.

Learn to Play / D level Hockey Skills
15 weeks of instructional ice hockey skills. Coach Brian will work on edgework, the basis of ice hockey, along with hockey drills and puck handling. You will also need to be registered with USA Hockey to participate in this program. To run this program, we need 15 skaters. Please sign up here on our website and once we get 15 players registered, we will ask for full payment.

2023-24 NEWHL Liability Release Form
In consideration of being allowed to participate in any way in the “2023-24 New England Women’s Hockey League Program” and related events and activities, the undersigned acknowledges, appreciates and agrees that:
- The risk of injury from the activities involved in playing hockey can be significant, including the potential for permanent paralysis and death, and while particular rules, equipment, and personal discipline may reduce the risk, the risk of serious injury does exist: and,
- I KNOWINGLY AND FREELY ASSUME ALL SUCH RISKS, both known and unknown, EVEN IF ARISING FROM THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASEES or others, and assume full responsibility for my participation; and,
- I willingly agree to comply with the stated and customary terms and conditions for participation. If, however, I observe any unusual significant hazard during my presence or participation, I will remove myself from participation and bring such to the attention of the nearest official immediately; and,
- I, for myself and on behalf of my heirs, assigns, personal representatives and next of kin, HEREBY RELEASE AND HOLD HARMLESS, Nashoba Valley Olympia, City of Somerville, Founders Rink, Valley Sports, NEWHL, their officers, officials, agents, and/or employees, other participants, sponsoring agencies, sponsors, advertisers, and if applicable, owners and lessors of premises used to conduct the 2023-24 programs (“RELEASEES”), WITH RESPECT TO ANY AND ALL INJURY, DISABILITY, DEATH, or loss or damage to person or property, WHETHER ARISING FROM THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASEES OR OTHERWISE.
- I, the undersigned, have registered for USA hockey for the 2023-24 season. I am a member in good standing.
I HAVE READ THIS RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK AGREEMENT, FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS TERMS, UNDERSTAND THAT I HAVE GIVEN UP SUBSTANTIAL RIGHTS BY SIGNING IT, AND SIGN IT FREELY AND VOLUNTARILY WITHOUT ANY INDUCEMENT.
