Spring & Summer Ice

Hockey in the heat? Of course! There is no better way to cool off than being on the ice. Our skills sessions and games will continue at Nashoba Valley Olympia throughout the spring and summer so the fun continues. Many players are looking to continue to build upon their skills from the winter, but on Tuesdays, we welcome players that are just starting as well.

Beginning on April 24th, the NEWHL spring skills sessions will be held on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 9:30 am - 11:00 am. These are 90 minute mixed level sessions and players can sign up for one or both days. Tuesdays will have a coached one hour mixed level drills, including stick handling and shooting skills instruction and a 30 minute controlled scrimmage. Wednesdays will have a coached mixed level one hour of drills and skills and a 30 minute controlled scrimmage. Each session is 9 weeks and requires a minimum of 15 skaters to run.

The NEWHL summer session begins on July 12 and will continue on Thursday evenings from 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm for seven weeks. Each session will include 45 minute skills instruction and a 45 minute coached scrimmage. Come lace 'em up and beat the heat.




  • NVO Boxborough Spring Skills are held from 9:30 am to 11:00 am

  • Cost: $260.00 for each day registered
  • Each session requires 15 skaters to run.
  • NVO Boxborough Summer Skills are held from 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm

  • Cost: $270.00
  • This session requires 15 skaters to run.
  • Registration with USA Hockey is required
  • All play is at Nashoba Valley Olympia, 34 Massachusetts Ave., Route 111, Boxborough, MA 01719

Equipment required: Hockey helmet with face guard, shin guards, hockey socks, elbow and shoulder pads, hockey gloves, hockey pants, hockey skates, stick, mouth guard and Big Water Bottle.

Please print, sign and return the NEWHL Liability Waiver before your first session if you have not participated in the fall or winter sessions.
